Teens Taking Charge Today!
Don’t just take our word for it, here is what some of our Students, parents, and volunteers say:
“My daughter began [ART of Leadership] as a child with no voice. Now she speaks with confidence and has developed the attitude that she can achieve anything.” - ALF Students’ Parent
“Since ART of Leadership has taken my son into their group he has grown in ways that made him a responsible and decent young man. They have done things for him that I could not do on my own.” - ALF Students’ Parent
“Being a volunteer coach for the kids has been a life changing experience not only for the kids but for us as coaches too. It is so exciting to be part of the vision that ART of Leadership has for these kids.” - ALF Volunteer Coach
“ART of Leadership has taught us as students to dream big, and not let society dictate what we can and cannot achieve.” - ALF Student
A little bit about what you can expect:
ART of Leadership is a 7 year intensive leadership training program for youth. We ask that you commit for one program year with the students you are matched with.
Classes meet for 7-12 months per year.
Students learn important life skills: LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, and COACHING.
To practice their new skills, the students develop and execute community service projects to help to lead them closer to their vision for the future.
Past projects have included neighborhood beautification, mind/body/spirit health fairs, college and scholarship fairs, community murals, and many more!
Close bonds are created between students, course leaders, volunteer coaches, and the community.
Programs at the middle school and high school level are available in:
Baldwin, MI
